Current and future Church Presidents living concurrently


 

1. To date in this dispensation, the largest number of current and future Church Presidents that have been alive concurrently is TEN.   From June 23, 1910 when President Gordon B. Hinckley was born until November 19, 1918 when President Joseph F. Smith passed away, the following brethren were all living:

Harold B. Lee

Ezra Taft Benson

Howard W. Hunter

Gordon B. Hinckley

 

2. Also in this dispensation, there was another occurrence of TEN current and future Church Presidents living concurrently.   From August 21, 1927 when President Thomas S. Monson was born until May 14, 1945 when President Heber J. Grant passed away, the following brethren were all living:

George Albert Smith

David O. McKay

Joseph Fielding Smith

Harold B. Lee

Spencer W. Kimball

Ezra Taft Benson

Howard W. Hunter

Gordon B. Hinckley

Thomas S. Monson

 

3. From August 4, 1899 when Ezra Taft Benson was born, until October 10, 1901 when Lorenzo Snow passed away, there were NINE current and future Church Presidents living simultaneously (Lorenzo Snow, Joseph F. Smith, Heber J. Grant, George Albert Smith, David O. McKay, Joseph Fielding Smith, Harold B. Lee, Spencer W. Kimball, and Ezra Taft Benson).

 

4. From July 19, 1876 when Joseph Fielding Smith was born, until August 29, 1877 when Brigham Young passed away, there were also NINE current and future Church Presidents living concurrently (Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, Lorenzo Snow, Joseph F. Smith, Heber J. Grant, George Albert Smith, David O. McKay, and Joseph Fielding Smith).
