Two Environments


 

Should you ever get your “environments” mixed up, the following information may come in handy:

 

                                      IN PRISON                                                                                              AT WORK

 

 1) You spend the majority of your time in a 10’x 10’ cell    1) You spend the majority of your time in an 8’x 8’ cubicle

 2) You get three meals a day, fully paid for                 2) You get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it

 3) You get time off for good behavior                        3) You get more work for good behavior

 4) A guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you           4) You must carry a security card and open all doors by yourself

 5) You can watch TV and play games                           5) You will get fired for watching TV or playing games

 6) You get your very own toilet                              6) You share a toilet with others who urinate on the toilet seat

 7) Your family and friends are allowed to visit              7) You can’t even speak to your family or friends

 8) All expenses are paid by taxpayers, no required work      8) You pay all your expenses at work, and you pay taxes to support prisoners

 9) You spend all your time inside bars waiting to get out    9) You spend all your time wanting to get out and go inside bars

10) You must deal with sadistic wardens                      10) You must deal with similar individuals called managers
