TEMPLES – Miscellaneous

QUESTION: US 89 is a north-south highway that runs from the US-Mexican border near Nogales, Arizona to the US-Canadian border near Babb, Montana.  From 1972 until the early 1990's, US 89 passed by and touched the property lines of four temples.  Can you name these four temples?

ANSWER: US 89 bordered the property of the following temples during the 1970's and 1980's: 1) Mesa Arizona Temple  2) Manti Utah Temple  3) Salt Lake Temple  4) Ogden Utah Temple.  This highway comes very close to four other temples (Provo Utah, Mount Timpanogos, Jordan River, and Logan Utah).  US 89 was renamed and redesignated in Arizona in the early 1990's, so the Mesa Temple no longer borders US 89.
