Interesting birthday facts of our current and recent apostles


 

1. Elder Boyd K. Packer and Elder Russell M. Nelson were born just one day apart, with Elder Packer being born on September 10, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah and Elder Nelson being born on September 9, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

2. Elder Dallin H. Oaks and Elder Robert D. Hales were born just 12 days apart, with Elder Oaks being born on August 12, 1932 in Provo, Utah and Elder Hales being born on August 24, 1932 in New York City, New York.

3. Elder M. Russell Ballard and Elder Richard G. Scott were born just one month apart, with Elder Ballard being born on October 8, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah and Elder Scott being born on November 7, 1928 in Pocatello, Idaho.

4. President Harold B. Lee and President Spencer W. Kimball, who came into the Quorum of the Twelve sequentially (President Lee in 1941 and President Kimball in 1943), shared the same birthday. President Lee was born on March 28, 1899 in Clifton, Idaho and President Kimball was born on March 28, 1895 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

5. None of our current apostles have birthdays in February, March, or April. The only January birthday is Elder Christofferson on January 24, the only May birthday is Elder Eyring on May 31, and the only December birthday is Elder Holland on December 3. The birthdays of the other 12 apostles are in the months from June to November. Four of our current apostles have August birthdays (Elders Monson, Perry, Oaks, and Hales).

6. Elders Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Jeffrey R. Holland were born just one month apart. Elder Uchtdorf was born November 6, 1940 and Elder Holland was born December 3, 1940.

7. Interestingly, Elder Cook’s birthday is on September 8, Elder Nelson’s birthday is on September 9, and Elder Packer’s birthday is on September 10.
